I saw an ad for L’Oreal Evercreme Cleansing Conditioner in a magazine that was a month or two old and was mystified that I hadn’t heard about this product any other way by now.  I was one of the people who immediately ordered WEN after being thoroughly brainwashed by the pretty infomercials only to cancel the subscription later because of the high cost and the pointlessly tiny bottles.  I was really hoping a product like this would come along.

Pros:

  • The smell is a deep, creamy vanilla that reminds me of the warm vanilla sugar lotion that had caffeine in it from Bath and Body Works back in 2003 (for the 6 or so people who will remember what that smells like).
  • In one step, you’ve washed and conditioned your hair, saving time.
  • Inexpensive!  You can pick this up at the drug store along with your toothpaste and ibuprophen.  I’ve seen it around $6 pretty much everywhere.
  • It works!  My hair comes out refreshed and moisturized every time.

Cons:

  • The smell might be a little too heady for some and no matter how much I love to smell like food*, many people prefer not to.
  • Just like WEN, you’ll need like 15-20 pumps to thoroughly clean your hair
  • The bottle is small, I wish there was a jumbo option so it won’t run out as fast

* I have this theory that if you smell like cake, maybe you won’t want to eat one because it would be like cannibalism…
